The Companions of St. Mark’s keep working hard and getting recognized. Most recently, and very shortly after affiliating with our Chapter, Comp. Gerard Bergeron was installed as the newest District Deputy Grand Master of the 19th Masonic District.
Comp. Bergeron is a Past Master of Star In The East Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of New Bedford, Massachusetts. In the York Rite, he is a member of Adoniram R.A.C., New Bedford Council, R&SM, and Sutton Commandery #16, K.T., all also of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
The officers and members of St. Mark’s Royal Arch Chapter extend our congratulations to Comp. Bergeron for this much-deserved accomplishment, and our heartfelt appreciation for all that he has done and continues to do for the Craft, as a whole.
At St. Mark’s December Convocation we had the pleasure of welcoming R.·.E.·. Leon Cudworth, Jr. for a fraternal visitation. Companion Cudworth is the District Deputy Grand High Priest of this, the Third Capitular District. He was introduced by his Captain of the Guard, E.·. Arthur Dill.
Even though we had just previously had a snow storm and also considering that it was only four days before Christmas, the turnout for the evening was truly impressive. It was certainly a good showing for our visiting officer’s reception.
As a part of his visitation, Companion Cudworth presented our High Priest, E.·. Dustin Werstler, with his Past High Priest Diploma for serving his first year here at St. Mark’s. Before coming to St. Mark’s, Companion Werstler was High Priest of Old Colony-Harmony R.A.C. in Middleboro.
